Everything you need to know to take part in the #SerCidadão week
Frequently asked questions
Who can take part?
#SerCidadão is open to the whole academic community of the University of Porto and, for some activities, to the wider community as well.
How long do the activities last?
It depends on the activity. The Goods and Paper Collection Campaign runs throughout the week (21–25 September), from 09:00 to 13:00; the Blood Donation Campaign runs over the same period, from 09:00 to 18:00, at the blood banks listed under “Where to donate”; the Volunteering Fair also runs 21–25, from 10:00 to 17:00. Workshops, talks and round tables usually last between 1 and 3 hours, at the times shown in each day's programme.
How do I register?
- Volunteering Fair — registration form
- Workshops, talks and round tables — registration form
- Charity Walk — registration form (€3.00 U.Porto students · €5.00 rest of the community)
How are personal data and images captured during the event used?
The personal data collected is processed solely by the ReVIReS team of the University of Porto, exclusively for organising, managing and communicating about the #SerCidadão Week, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Where can I drop off goods for the collection campaign? What kind of goods are accepted?
The collection of essential goods runs throughout the week, with collection points at every constituent body of U.Porto. The goods collected are delivered to the Porto´s Food Bank. A paper collection, also benefiting the Porto´s Food Bank, runs at the same time.
